The most fulfilling part of our work is joining on this journey to explore various aspects of yourself; we find that humor, acceptance and direct, honest feedback are the pillars of our communication style.
While we work with a broad variety of personal issues, we specialize with identity development especially LGBTQ+ identities, young emerging adults, and couples. We have provided both group and individual therapy for trans* and gender queer clients. We offer an open and affirming environment and believe this is paramount to establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship. Additionally, we specialize in disordered eating, body shame, anxiety and perfectionism, depression, ADHD, and self-esteem struggles.
Couples come to therapy for a variety of reasons; however, we believe the common thread in all of the scenarios we see is the disruption in connection. Connection is an essential tool for human survival. When the connection with self or others is disrupted, it often leads to intense pain and discomfort. Our role as couples therapists is to first understand and explore the reason for disconnection. We then employ a variety of therapeutic techniques to enhance trust, communication, honesty, vulnerability, and receptivity. Once these foundational pieces are established, we then rebuild through encouragement and structure so that you may once again find love and connection.

It is essential to get a sense of how we will connect before you invest in therapy. We offer a FREE brief phone consultation so we can have a chance to discuss your concerns and find the clinician that can best serve you before making an initial appointment. If we decide to move forward, we will direct you to complete the intake paperwork electronically through a secure client portal, and we will schedule our first appointment.
Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. Our values are what guide us in this life helping us prioritize what is important. Our goal is to help you identify your values, reflect and empathize when you move away from them, and encourage you to move towards them with genuine support. During this process, we also encourage examination of the problematic beliefs you may hold about yourself and the world around you. Through this process, you can begin to move more freely in your life, and make decisions from a place of empowerment rather than fear.
